Invited talk of Paul Havinga in workshop on R&D collaboration between EU & Brazil in the ICT field  
As an invited speaker in EUBR workshop, Paul Havinga gave a presentation entitled "Sensor Networks for the Future Internet” in Session on Future Internet - Internet of Things.

The Workshop EUBR 2009 was held in the University of São Paulo (USP), São Paulo, Brazil from 8th to 9th of September 2009. Its main goal was to promote collaboration, idea and exchange of experiences and joint research on Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) between Brazilian and European Union Academic and Scientific Communities as well industries.

Kavitha Muthukrishnan successfully defended her PhD thesis 
On 04 September 2009, Kavitha Muthukrishnan successfully defended her doctoral thesis entitled "Multimodal Localization: Analysis, Algorithms and Experimental Evaluation”. The research has been performed under supervision of Prof. Paul Havinga (promotor).

Pervasive Systems group is organizing a symposium at ISSNIP 2009 
The Pervasive Systems group is organizing a symposium on Theoretical and Practical Aspects of Large-scale Wireless Sensor Networks as part of the 5th IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Sensors, Sensor Networks and Information Processing (ISSNIP). The conference will be held in Melbourne, Australia, from 7-10th December 2009.
