PS outing and water sport 
On 20 June 2014, PS members had their summer group outing in Het Rutbeek lake in Enschede. On the program was raft building followed by water skiing. The event ended by a BBQ dinner.

SUNRISE and WiBRATE projects at IoT Week 2014 
The IoT week 2014 was held in London from 16th June to Friday 20th June. It was originated in European IoT Research Cluster to become the pre-eminent event attracting industry and academia from around the world. During this event, SUNRISE and WiBRATE projects were presented and discussed. SUNRISE project was presented twice, once during the session on “Acoustic enabled IoT” and once during the session on “Doing fore-front IoT using FIRE testbeds”. WiBRATE project was presented during the session on "IoT for Manufacturing Enterprises".

Wouter van Kleunen successfully defended his doctoral thesis  
On 28 May 2014, Wouter van Kleunen successfully defended his doctoral thesis entitled "Echoes from the Deep - Communication scheduling, localization and time-synchronization in underwater acoustic sensor networks”. The research has been performed under supervision of Prof. Paul Havinga (promotor) and Dr. Nirvana Meratnia (assistant promotor).

4th User Committe meeting of the SeaSTAR project 
On 28 May 2014, SeaSTAR project on underwater monitoring platform met with its end users committee members and the STW representatives for the 4th time to discuss project progress and exploitation plans. It was confirmed in the meeting that the project has achieved its objects and has made good progress.
