Cross workpackages meeting of the Sensei project took place on 25-28 June in Menorca, Spain.

Onderzoekdag for school students 
During a full-day program, presenting research activities of the Computer Science department to high school students, Pervasive Systems group presented its research in the area of activity recognition, distributed fire detection, and collaboration between ground wireless sensor networks and autonomous helicopters.

GENESI (Green sEnsor NEtworks for Structural monItoring) project starts 
On 1 April 2010, GENESI project on Green Sensor Networks for Structural Monitoring starts. GENESI is a STREP project accepted in the FP7-ICT-2009-5 call, which has the ambitious goal of bringing WSN technology to the level where it can provide the core of the next generation of systems for structural health monitoring that are long lasting, pervasive and totally distributed and autonomous.

During ICTDelta 2010, Pervasive Systems group demonstrated its research results in the field of wireless sensor networks, human activity recognition, and intelligent interaction techniques.

Second prize for AWARE project in EURON Robotics Technology Transfer Award 
The AWARE project (http://www.aware-project.net/) got the second prize of the EURON Robotics Technology Transfer Award 2010. This award "was created in 2003 in order to improve the quality of robotics research and to raise the profile of technology transfer between science and industry".
