On 23 January 2013, Majid Bahrepour successfully defended his doctoral thesis entitled "Artificial Intelligence Based Event Detection in Wireless Sensor Networks”. The research has been performed under supervision of Prof. Paul Havinga (promotor) and Dr. Nirvana Meratnia (assistant promotor).

Dennis Bijwaard successfully defended his doctoral thesis

PS Outing and Christmas Concert 
The program of PS winter this year consisted of the Weihnachts- Oratorium of Bach and Mexican dinner prior to the concert. Both events took place on 19 Dec 2012 in Oldenzaal.

CLAM project meeting and review 
On 26 Nov 2012, CLAM project partners meet and hold their project meeting. In this meeting, project progress was discussed. This meeting was followed by a project review on 27 Nov.

CLAM sea trial in 200 meter deep water 
CLAM partners performed a set of underwater tests in 200 meter deep water in Horten, Norway. In these experiments, the new CLAM underwater node and networking solutions were tested.
