Telepresence at Ubicomp 2014 using beam robots 
On 16 September, Mitra Baratchi presented her full paper "A Hierarchical Hidden Semi-Markov Model for Modeling Mobility Data" at Ubicomp 2014 in Seattle. Mitra was one of the first few telepresence attendees who used beam robots to participate in the conference. This was a unique experience where she could move around in conference sessions, and talk to other researchers using the beam.
