PS at the 2nd Sino-Dutch Forum on Smart CitySmart in Amsterdam 
On 1 June 2015, the 2nd Sino-Dutch Forum on Smart CitySmart took place in Amsterdam in the Netherlands. PS participated in this one-day workshop, which aimed to bring researchers in the area of smart cities and Internet of Things from the Netherlands and China together. Among other things, Okan Turkes gave a poster presentation and a demo of Cocoon protocol: adhoc data dissemination using smart phones.

WiBRATE project final review: 'Excellent' project 
On 29 April 2015, the final review meeting with the EC reviewers took place at LMS, Leuven, Belgium. Piror to that, the WiBRATE plenary meeting and review preparation took place on 28th April at LMS at the same place.

The project finished succeffuly and the it was evaluated as 'excellent'.

Zahra Taghikhaki successfully defended her doctoral thesis 
On 28 January 2015, Zahra Taghikhaki successfully defended her doctoral thesis entitled " Quality-aware Data Gathering and Disseminating in Chain-based Wireless Sensor Networks”. The research has been performed under supervision of Prof. Paul Havinga (promotor) and Dr. Nirvana Meratnia (assistant promotor).

Juan Jimenez Garcia successfully defended his doctoral thesis 
On 17 December 2014, Juan Jimenez Garcia successfully defended his doctoral thesis entitled "Beyond the Numbers: A User-Centered Design Approach for Personal Reflective Healthcare Technologies”. The research has been performed under supervision of Prof. David Keyson (promotor) from University of Delft and Prof. Paul Havinga (promotor) from University of Twente.
